EniSorb CMSCH4 Coalbed Methane Recovery Adsorbent

Coal-bed methane is a clean energy with high calorific value, pollution-free, and a very valuable chemical raw material. Its main component is methane.

In order to ensure the safety of coal mining, the coalbed methane extracted from the mine is mixed with a large amount of air, resulting in a low-concentration coalbed methane with a methane content of 20%-40% and an oxygen content of less than 18%. This poses a safety hazard to methane concentration. Removal of more than 60% of nitrogen adds considerable difficulty to the adsorbent.

Pressure swing adsorption is a gas separation process. It is flexible and convenient in operation, simple in equipment, and low in energy consumption. The best technology for purification of low-concentration coalbed methane. The core of its pressure swing adsorption is the separation and adsorption of CH₄ and N₂.

The EniSorb CMSCH₄ type carbon molecular sieve special low-concentration coalbed methane methane adsorbent, by adjusting the pore structure of the carbon molecular sieve and special materials and processes, the CMSCH₄ type adsorbent makes it easy to concentrate methane, and the separation of CH₄ and N₂ has been greatly improved, and has a strong deoxidation effect. By EniSorb CMSCH4 adsorbent, the mixed gas of 30%-70% of CH₄ and N₂ can be concentrated to more than 92%, the recovery rate is more than 31.6%, and the mixed gas of 50%-50% of CH₄ and N₂ can be concentrated to more than 95%, The recovery rate is over 47%.

Characteristics:
1. It has a high selectivity of CH₄ and N₂, and can effectively purify coalbed methane with a methane content of ≥5% (the methane content is extremely high, the effect is obvious);
2. It has very strong deoxygenation and explosion-proof functions to ensure the safety of PSA in the process of enriching coalbed methane;
3. It can be adsorbed at room temperature and low pressure, and has the characteristics of low energy consumption;
4. While separating CH₄ and N₂, it can be deoxygenated, without pre-deoxygenation or methane enrichment, low cost and obvious economic benefits.
